Obituary – Robert Malcolm Sinclair, QC
We regret to inform you of the death of Robert Malcolm Sinclair, QC
Robert Malcolm Sinclair, QC passed away peacefully in the presence of his loving family on December 13, 2019 at the age of 75. Leaving to mourn are his loving wife of 44 years Catherine (nee Cahill), his two sons Andrew (Erin O’Brien) and Ian (Lauren Carroll), and four adoring grandchildren, Ava, Jane, Aiden and Audrey. Bob was born in Kingston, Ontario and was predeceased by his parents Robert and Eileen, as well as his sister Nancy. A joyful, humble man with a huge heart, Bob touched everyone he knew. As a lawyer at Cox & Palmer for 32 years and a dedicated volunteer with several organizations, he was a strong believer in contributing to his community.
The family wishes to thank to the superb staff and residents at Pleasant View Towers Unit 4 Northeast, especially head nurses Pamela Wells, Madonna Keats and Kim Woodman, as well as Michelle Whittle (nurse practitioner), Barbara Anne Mackey (patient care coordinator), Paul (recreation), Steve Rotondi (physiotherapist), Joanne Thorne (occupational therapy), Dr. Roberta Didanato (speech language pathologist), Aimee Kelly (speech language pathologist), Laurie Green (speech language pathologist), Daniel Dunne, Dr. Tina Squarey, Dr. Lisa Kieley, Dr. Noreen Fardy and all the LPNs and PCAs. Their care of Bob was wonderful. Special thanks also to friend Robin Kemp and sister in law Marie Cahill for escorting Bob to his weekly speech group meetings, and to the members of that speech group who were very supportive of Bob through all his trials.
Visitation will take place at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Rd, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on both Sunday, December 15th and Monday, December 16th. The funeral will take place at 9:30 am on Tuesday, December 17th at St. Pius X Church. Flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made in Bob’s name to a charity of your choice.
