Office Closure Notice for June 23: National Indigenous Peoples Day (Observed)
National Indigenous Peoples Day is a special occasion to learn about the rich and diverse histories, experiences, and cultures of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. While these groups share similarities, they each have their own distinct cultural practices, language, spiritual beliefs, and heritage.
As the longest day of the year, the summer solstice has held deep cultural, historical, and spiritual significance for many Indigenous peoples and communities for generations.
While today is a time to celebrate Indigenous peoples, it is also an opportunity to acknowledge that there is much more work to do on the important journey to reconciliation. It is through concrete actions and by working together that we can create a better future.
Please be advised that our office will be closed on Monday, June 23, in observance of National Indigenous Peoples Day.
