Opportunity: Member (Multiple Positions) – Employment Insurance Board of Appeal
Employment and Social Development Canada would like to raise awareness of a public appointment process to staff the new Employment Insurance Board of Appeal. The Government of Canada is seeking a diverse range of qualified candidates to serve on the EI Board of Appeal.
The EI Board of Appeal will act as an independent administrative tribunal composed of three member panels mandated to provide simple, quick, and fair quasi-judicial hearings to Employment Insurance claimants and employers. The EI Board of Appeal will replace the Social Security Tribunal EI Section for first level EI appeals.

These part-time and full-time roles offer successful candidates decision-maker or leadership opportunities in an administrative tribunal. The decision-maker role of Presiding Board Member is a part time role that requires a minimum commitment of 2-3 days per month.
