Practice Management Tips: Take a Step Back

Effective risk management means occasionally stepping back from the day-to-day demands of practice to look at the bigger picture. Regularly taking time to assess where your practice is headed, what is working, and what is creating challenges is an important process.

Ask yourself: Do you have the right support and resources? Are there processes or staffing needs that should be addressed? Is there a document or checklist you use that is out of date?

Identifying the sticking points early can help you make intentional decisions and build a healthier, more sustainable practice, not to mention enhance your ability to retain staff.

Have a practice or ethical question? Don’t guess. Contact the Director of Practice Management before a small concern becomes a bigger problem. A quick conversation can help you identify risks, explore options, and move forward with confidence.
