Five new Queen’s Counsel will be sworn in at a Ceremony on Friday, August 19, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. The Honourable Raymond P. Whalen, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador, will preside at the Ceremony. The Letters Patent appointing the five new Queen’s Counsel will be read and the Oaths and Affirmations will be administered to each new Queen’s Counsel. Chief Justice Whalen will then invite each new Queen’s Counsel to the Inner Bar.

The Queen’s Counsel Ceremony will take place in Courtroom No. 1 at the Court House, Duckworth Street, St. John’s.
