Reminder from the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador
The Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador would like to remind members of the Bar that requests for the installation of equipment in a courtroom for use during a trial or hearing should be made in conformance with the Practice Note published on June 27, 2014, available here:
https://www.servicenl.gov.nl.ca/printer/gazette/weekly_issues/2014/NLG140627.pdf
This Practice Note applies to any request to have equipment available for use in the courtroom, including monitors, projectors, speakers, other A/V equipment, and the Court’s SMART Cart. If you would like to use any such equipment, you are asked to provide the Court with two weeks’ notice. Failure to provide this notice may result in the equipment being unavailable or may cause delays owing to logistical issues (set-up, testing, etc.).
