Re: Amendment to CR Form 9.04 (“Pre-Trial Report”)

The Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador has recently approved amendments to CR Form 9.04, the Pre-Trial Report. The updated form, in both English and French, is now available on the Court’s website.
The changes to the form include the following:
- Two fields were added to paragraph 1. Parties are now required to indicate the date the information was sworn and to calculate 30 months from that date.
- Paragraph 33(b) was added. Parties are now required to indicate whether the prosecutor or a witness will make an application under s. 486.7 for an order for the security of a witness.
- Paragraph 41 was added. Parties are now required to indicate if there are any points of disagreement on the contents of the report and, if so, are asked to specify them.
