Food First NL seeks new Board Members and a Board Secretary

Food First NL is a provincial nonprofit organization that works with individuals, organizations, and communities across Newfoundland & Labrador to ensure everyone has access to affordable, healthy, and culturally appropriate food. This work is taken on by a staff team of seven, based in St. John’s and Grand Falls-Windsor, and guided by an engaged, policy-focused, Board of Directors. That Board has a small number of open seats, and is now seeking new members, including someone interested in the role of Board Secretary (a member of the Executive Committee).

Given the responsibility of the Secretary, Food First NL especially welcomes candidates for that role with a background in law.

Anyone interested can fill out the Expression of Interest form available at www.foodfirstnl.ca/board. The deadline for applications is July 31st, 2020. Applicants will be asked to provide three references and to indicate whether they are interested in the Secretary role.
