The purpose of the Professionals’ Assistance Program is to ensure that effective assistance is available to lawyers, their staff, articled clerks, students, and their families who may require support for all types of personal problems which cannot be solved without assistance.
The service provider is Homewood Health, which has more than 33 years of experience and capability. Counseling is their core business. Approximately 90% of counseling services are provided face-to-face, giving members the personal connection they expect. The quality of their service is evidenced by their 98% client retention rate. Counseling is provided for a full range of personal and family-related issues or life events including addiction, adolescent issues, aging and care giving, anger management, anxiety, child development, communication problems, domestic violence, depression, family issues, grief and bereavement, marital issues, parenting, personal adjustment problems, relationship difficulties, sexuality, stress, separation/divorce/custody, special needs of children and trauma/crisis management.
